The Other Allied Health and Support Services Division is a multidisciplinary division which is the foundation and the backbone of the National Health Services. The different services in this OAHSS Division wok collectively and collaboratively to support the Clinicians. Our aim is to provide for an efficient and effective high quality health are services for Samoa. Our roles vary from administrative roles to more specialised and technical positions in each respective Allied Health Professionals in our division.

  • Responsible for 1270 medical equipment in all hospitals in both Upolu and Savaii
  • The Biomedical Engineering team, is responsible for the lifecycle management of National Health Service’s (NHS) Medical Equipment regardless of its source or funding.
  • Areas covered include patient connected, laboratory, dental, and imaging equipments. Examples are: patient monitor, ventilator anaesthetic machine, operating table, centrifuge, water bath, autoclave, ultrasound unit, X-ray machine.
  • Location – 2nd Floor, Old Paediatrics Building

  • Dietary Staff includes
    • Dieticians – 4 graduates + 1 assistant
    • Food Services Staff
      • 1 Supervisor
      • 1 Assistant Supervisor +2 snr cooks
      • 10 full time staff (full & special diets)
      • 16 kitchen hand assistants +3 vacancies
  • Serve 200-300 patients per day (Inpatients & outpatients) providing 6 meal courses everyday
